Nanotechnology has the ability to manipulate objects at a molecular level. It has lead to many advancements in the art world, and the combination of the two has lead to many new doors opening for creative expressions. Nanotechnology is able to give artists new materials and possibilities that have never been seen before. In the TED talk from Paul Rothemund, he goes in depth on how specific the processing of DNA folding is. He shows us a demonstration, with how the properties can be obtained to make nanostructures. Artists have now taken on this engineering style and use it in artwork. Ray Kurzweil is able to expand on the growth of the technology we use everyday, and how society has adapted it. He does not directly focus on the art side of things, but ties ideas together that are relevant to such. When technology progresses through time, the art has taken those same steps. Advancements from throughout the world have lead to the increased artwork and new ideas. The scientists that are able to manipulate the materials at nanoscale hold a skill which is very talented. They can create these insane art pieces that were once not available to view. The advancement of the technology obviously played a huge role in that. Nanotechnology and Art has opened a new world full of extreme opportunities. Artists can inspire a new wave of future artists, challenge others to make this new great art, and to see doors open for all to succeed.

I think you bring up some really interesting points in this post and I really enjoyed hearing about your perspective on how nanotechnology is able to effect art. I like how you mentioned how nanotech is able to inspire and challenge new artists with this new technology that requires new skills to use, but also allows for so much new possibilities and experimentation. It is fascinating to see how with all new forms of technological advancement made, artists always find new ways to adapt the tech for their works in such cool and creative ways.
