 Nanotechnology has the ability to manipulate objects at a molecular level. It has lead to many advancements in the art world, and the combination of the two has lead to many new doors opening for creative expressions. Nanotechnology is able to give artists new materials and possibilities that have never been seen before. In the TED talk from Paul Rothemund, he goes in depth on how specific the processing of DNA folding is. He shows us a demonstration, with how the properties can be obtained to make nanostructures. Artists have now taken on this engineering style and use it in artwork. Ray Kurzweil is able to expand on the growth of the technology we use everyday, and how society has adapted it.  I attended the L.A.S.E.R talks event on May eighth at 7pm. The event was held on zoom and had a large panel of speakers who did an amazing job. The panel consisted of four different speakers who all brought a unique subject to the podium. The first was Ravi Majeti on "Stem Cells and Reprogramming in Human Acute Leukemia". He is a professor of Medicine and Director of the Institute for Stem cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine at Stanford. He has more than 100 peer-reviewed articles and has won various awards for his studies. He spoke on the idea of cellular reprogramming and how the cells can work together in order to serve. The next speaker was Thomas Haakenson on "Kurt Schwitters and Dada Resistance". He was a co-editor in the series of German Visual Culture. He has been publishing worldwide and has awards for fellowships in the United States and Europe. The third was David Stork who spoke on "Computer-assisted lighting analysis of the works by Vermeer....

 The relationship that neuroscience and art share is a unique connection between the creativity of the brain and the features that art offers. Engagement with the art can create a stimulation in the brain that includes the cognition, emotion, and the perception that we have. Art is able to create activation in the frontal lobes, cortex, and the pathways of the brain. Can also lead to the advancement of the cognitive skills that we obtain. There is also a philosophical idea that art can have on us. Being able to transform the power that art has and the capability to show emotions and grow our knowledge. The answer of whether life can be art is a straight forward answer for me. One who deeply cares about art and the things that it can bring to one's life is undeniable. They will find life and all of the manifestations for it to be artistic in shapes and forms. With that, Biotechnology has the ability to have this negative connotation on not only the environment but the landscape around that. At times, we're able to have these amazing things that we can create, but at certain times they can get out of hand. From Nature.com they say " The extensive use of chemical fertilizers poses serious collateral problems such as environmental pollution, pest resistance development and food safety decline." The extent of these chemicals can create a huge issue for people all around and lead to bigger issues than just the food decline. Biotechnology can bring a connection between the art and science.  Personally, I do not have any knowledge of medical technologies, but I can say how they may relate to the projects that I have observed. It has become more common throughout years with artists using them to explore the body and the relationship with technology. An artist who used this was Luxereau. "Anatomical Futurism" is a bunch of digital pictures that display humans through various technologies. This project brings the question of the impact technology can have on the body and what it stands for to be human in a world where technology is becoming so large. Virgil Wong has also used these medical technologies. "BodyMaps'' is an interactive digital map of the human body. This allows the user to explore throughout the body with extreme attention to detail. This tool can aid in helping those understand more about the human body and for the use in doctor practices.
