Personally, I do not have any knowledge of medical technologies, but I can say how they may relate to the projects that I have observed. It has become more common throughout years with artists using them to explore the body and the relationship with technology. An artist who used this was Luxereau. "Anatomical Futurism" is a bunch of digital pictures that display humans through various technologies. This project brings the question of the impact technology can have on the body and what it stands for to be human in a world where technology is becoming so large. Virgil Wong has also used these medical technologies. "BodyMaps'' is an interactive digital map of the human body. This allows the user to explore throughout the body with extreme attention to detail. This tool can aid in helping those understand more about the human body and for the use in doctor practices. Another artist who has used medical technologies is Eduardo Kac. His project "GFP Bunny '' included modifying a rabbit. The modification made it so it would glow in the dark. This brought ethical questions about what genetic engineering in animals and humans could do, to light. The Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research located in Australia has used the medical technologies in "the Body Code." This allows viewers to look into the human body through technology, to see how different diseases can take a toll on the body. "Pulse" from Emily Metals' project use these technologies in a unique way. She uses pieces of jewelry to incorporate medical technologies. They can measure blood pressure and be used for heart rate monitors. She wants to use fashion to promote health care for all.

Hey Jack! I never would have thought fashion and health care would go together. Using jewelry to measure blood pressure and monitor heart rate is so innovative! As someone who loves jewelry I would love to see what some of these pieces look like. Thanks so much for sharing!

The artwork "BodyMaps'' is such an unique artwork, where it shows the relationships between human body and technology.
